School
Shekinah Christian School is located in a rural setting outside of Plain City, OH. The school is a member of ACSI and OHSAA. The school offers academic programs for grades K-12 in one building. The school opened in 1978 and graduated its first senior class in 1980 with a total of 389 graduates to date.

Graduation Requirements
To graduate from Shekinah Christian School, a student is required to have accumulated 23 credits, 20 as required by the state of Ohio, plus 3 additional credits during the four years of attendance. The credits are to be accumulated as follows:
English: 4 Credits
Mathematics: 4 Credits and must include Algebra I, Algebra II and Geometry
Social Studies: 4 Credits and must include World History and U.S. History
Science: 3 Credits to include Biology and Physical Science
Physical Education: .5 Credit; two seasons of a sport can be used a waiver
Health: .5 Credit
Foreign Language: 2 Credits of Spanish
Bible: 2 Credits - Required every year enrolled
Fine Arts: 1.5 Credits and must include .5 credit of Music Theory
Computer Literacy: .5 Credits
Electives: 1 Credit

The school year is comprised of two semesters with 1106 total school hours. The school day begins at 8:15 am and ends at 3:15 pm.

For the past number of years, the composite averages of high school students on the Terra Nova Achievement Tests have been above the eightieth percentile. Last year’s senior class also had a composite average of the 92nd percentile on the Terra Nova Test.
Higher Education Details
Sixty-nine percent of the graduates in the last five years have enrolled in post-secondary education. Shekinah students have enrolled at Columbus State Community College, Rosedale Bible College, The Ohio State University, Cedarville University, Mount Vernon Nazarene University, Ohio Christian University, Bowling Green University, University of Massachusetts-Amherst, Asbury University, Southeastern University, and Malone University.
Extracurricular Details
Shekinah Christian School is a member of the Ohio High School Athletic Association. The school fields teams in golf, girls’ volleyball, girls’ basketball, girls’ softball, boys’ basketball, baseball, and tennis. The school also offers Honors Ensemble, Choir, and Student Worship Team as well as a bi-annual dramatic performance.
