Shekinah Christian School is intentional about teaching from a Biblical worldview and using a variety of methods to encourage students to learn about the value of a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Shekinah students have an opportunity to engage in classes where Biblical principles are integrated into the the textbook, discussions, and activities.
- Students from Kindergarten through 12th grade attend chapel on a weekly basis.
- Students in Kindergarten through 6th grade participate in Bible lessons on a daily basis.
- Students in 7th grade through 12th grade participate in weekly age-based and gender-based discussion groups led by an adult.
- Junior high and high school students are required to take Bible classes.
- During the fall students engage in a week-long event known as Impact Week where they begin each day hearing from guest speakers, spending time in extended worship, and then finish the week getting involved in community service
- Teacher to student ratios are kept low in elementary classes which allows each teacher to spend more time relating to each student and investing in their spiritual lives.
- Students in junior high and high school are given opportunity to be mentored one-on-one by faculty.
- High school girls are given an opportunity to participate in a student-led time of interaction, prayer, accountability, and Bible study that meets most Thursday mornings at 7:15 AM
- High school guys are given an opportunity to participate in a student-led time of interaction, prayer, accountability, and Bible study that meets most Thursday mornings at 7:15 AM
