Job Description – Head Coach (Girl’s Volleyball)
About Us:
We are a Christ-centered educational private school committed to academic excellence, spiritual growth, and athletic development. Our mission is to equip students through education and discipleship to glorify Christ while impacting their communities.
We are currently seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Head Varsity Girls Volleyball Coach to lead our girls' volleyball program. This individual will have the opportunity to inspire and develop young athletes while promoting a Christ-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the girls volleyball program, including coaching practices, games, and tournaments.
• Develop and implement practices focused on skill development, team building, and game strategy.
• Provide discipleship and spiritual guidance to athletes, fostering a positive and encouraging environment that aligns with our Christian values.
• Maintain a high level of communication with athletes, parents, and school administration.
• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership, ensuring student-athletes represent the school in a Christ-like manner.
• Work with the Athletic Director to manage and plan team schedules, transportation, and equipment.
Qualifications:
• Strong Christian faith and commitment to integrating faith with athletics.
• Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school or collegiate level.
• In-depth knowledge of volleyball techniques, OHSAA rules, and strategies.
• Ability to motivate and lead athletes with a servant-leader mindset.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate with school administration, faculty, and parents to support student-athletes' academic and personal growth.
• Ability to obtain a Pupil Activity Permit through ODE and all required certifications.
