Shekinah Christian School is intentional about teaching from a Biblical worldview and using a variety of methods to encourage students to learn about the value of a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Other than academics, this is the heartbeat of our school.

Shekinah's students have an opportunity to engage in classes where Biblical principles are integrated into the textbook, discussions, and activities.

  • Students from Kindergarten through 12th grade attend chapel on a weekly basis.
  • Students in Kindergarten through 6th grade participate in daily Bible lessons.
  • Students in 7th grade through 12th grade participate in daily blended grade and gender-based spiritual mentorship groups led by a faculty or staff member.
  • Junior high and high school students are enrolled in Bible classes.
  • Junior high and high school students attend a Spiritual Retreat in the Fall of each school year.
  • During the spring, students engage in a week-long event known as Spiritual Emphasis Week. They begin each day with chapel, spending time in extended worship, and then finish the week getting involved in community service.
  • Teacher-to-student ratios are intentionally kept low in elementary classes, allowing each teacher to spend more time relating to students and investing in their spiritual lives.
