Concert Choir

The Shekinah concert choir is a yearlong ensemble that is open to all high school students. Students learn basic vocal technique through performing a large variety of repertoire from different cultures and time periods. The core curriculum emphasizes the basics of vocal technique, sight-reading, music theory, and music history.  Students in choir participate in several performance opportunities throughout the year, including winter and spring concerts and performances at local churches.

Junior High Choir

Junior High Choir introduces the key foundations of vocal technique. This ensemble is open to any Shekinah student in grades 7th-8th. Students sing a wide variety of songs and perform at both the winter and spring concerts.

Worship

The chapel worship teams are designed for students to collaborate and lead the student body in worship during weekly chapels and other assembly gatherings. Students will learn how to put worship set lists together; format songs for live stage presentations; foster team building and encouraging behaviors; and discipline themselves in practice and fellowship. There are opportunities for these teams to travel to other schools and events to lead worship.
