We want to partner with parents and allow them to make the decision regarding whether or not their child should view the solar eclipse. We believe that the solar eclipse is a very special event! However, a couple of local optometrists have expressed significant concerns regarding the dangers of viewing the solar eclipse in-person even with appropriate solar eclipse viewing glasses. Some have suggested it is better to watch coverage of this solar event on TV. We have included a link from ABC news with more information about today's solar eclipse for parents to consider when making their decision about whether they do or do not want their child to view the eclipse.
