We believe that a quality Christian education is important, but we realize there can be financial obstacles. There are several scholarship and financial assistance programs that families may use to lower their out-of-pocket tuition cost. 

Shekinah Christian School offers the Ohio EdChoice Scholarship, OCEN, & FACTS. 


Ohio EdChoice Scholarship

Starting with the 2023-24 Academic Year, all students in the State of Ohio qualify for the Ohio EdChoice Scholarship.  The full amount of the scholarship is $6,166 for K-8th students and $8,408 per high school student. The expansion scholarship designates families whose household income is at or below 450% of the federal poverty line as eligible for the full amount of the scholarship. Families with a higher household income are eligible for a prorated amount of the scholarship. 

Note: The Ohio EdChoice Scholarship applies towards tuition only. School fees are still the responsibility of the family.

Shekinah Christian School will walk families through the Ohio EdChoice Expansion Scholarship process. Please wait for communication from SCS before starting any paperwork through EdChoice. 

Ohio Christian Education Network (OCEN)

Shekinah Christian School is a member of the Ohio Christian Education Network. Students can apply for a scholarship to attend schools that are members of the Ohio Christian Education Network. These scholarships are funded through the generous gifts of members of our school community to make Christian education possible.

While all students at participating OCEN member schools are eligible to apply for and receive a scholarship, awards will be prioritized for students with demonstrated financial need. Award amounts may vary.


Any family may apply for tuition assistance through FACTS Financial Aid & Grant Assessment. FACTS is a nationally-recognized third-party company that assesses and validates information and then provides the school with a recommendation. 

The application process includes a few steps:

STEP 1 - Click here to Apply Online

STEP 2 - A non-refundable application fee of $45 payable to FACTS will be required before your application will be submitted.

STEP 3 - You will need to upload or fax all required supporting documentation that FACTS requires.
              *All documentation received is imaged upon receipt and then destroyed.

After completing your tuition assistance application, you may login to your FACTS user account to review the status of your application. Please allow 2 weeks processing time from the date you provided the supporting documents before inquiring further about receipt and/or status of the uploaded or faxed documents. Final award decisions are made by Shekinah Christian School, not FACTS.
