Career planning includes four primary elements: personality, vocational interests, skills & abilities, and values. The Career Direct® GE Guidance System covers all four of these areas to provide a good picture of an individual's design for work. The word design accurately describes a person's unique God-given combination of talents and interests.
Juniors and seniors at Shekinah take an assessment to discover their personalities, interests, skills, and values. After the assessment, students receive a detailed report and a consultation with certified consultants, Arnold & Linda Shetler. The cost of this service is part of the curriculum costs budgeted and covered by the school.
The Career Direct® assessment and consultation are also open to any non-Shekinah students for a fee of $160. If you are a Shekinah graduate who took the assessment decades ago and never had a consultation, you may qualify for a free consultation.
